APPLICATION PROCESS
Our admissions process is designed to introduce parents to our innovative and passionate approach to education, and to invite you to become participants in your child’s educational journey, before even beginning at NMS. After attending the fall Open House, or submitting an inquiry form on line, you will be invited to:
- Submit a Student Application with a non-refundable $100 fee (to be applied to your child’s tuition if a position is available)
- Attend a Prospective Family Information Night – This unique step in the admission’s process offers an intimate forum of discussion and conversation with the Directors about the total family experience here at NMS.
- If a position is available for your child, you will be invited to a thirty minute observation of a classroom in session. We believe that having the perspective of the classroom that is fully engaged by the curious learners themselves, will demonstrate the vitality of the program first hand.
- After your observation, a non-refundable Acceptance Deposit of $400 is due to secure your child’s position.
- Student Contracts are sent home in February, outlining the payment plan, and are due back to the office mid March.
- Parents are invited to a New Parent Dinner in late spring as a celebratory welcome to the community, and they receive information about our unique “phase in” process that will help their child have a smooth transition into his/her new school environment.
